Roxxanne LLC
Founded by longtime North Minneapolis community leader and Bush Fellow, Roxxanne’s LLC builds on over 13 years of leadership in environmental justice, public health, and community development. This work began with grassroots organizing around housing, foreclosure prevention, and violence reduction, and has evolved into a trusted consulting practice that bridges community expertise with government and institutional action.

Something Powerful
Roxxanne played a leading role in advancing environmental justice and public health initiatives that center community voices. She has worked to remove polluting facilities, advocate for policy changes, and lead projects addressing the intersections of housing, financial stability, and mental health — including the impact of urban trees and environmental conditions on community well-being.
This company’s collaborative approach has brought together residents, city departments, and local organizations to create equitable, sustainable solutions. We have partnered with key agencies and institutions such as the City of Minneapolis, and the Public Health Department, as well as Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board, Parks and Power at Hope Community, Juxtaposition Arts, and the state of Minnesota.
Roxxanne received the Community Public Health Award for her dedication to improving health and environmental outcomes in historically impacted neighborhoods and she continues to collaborate with public officials at both the city and state levels to develop frameworks and tools—such as the Environmental Justice Checklist—that promotes accountability, transparency, and equity in environmental decision-making.
